Q - How many houses was reconstructed within SUTRA II?

A - From the initial funds, SUTRA II planned to reconstruct 40 housing units in each of the 12 partner municipalities, making the total of 480. However, as more funds were made available to SUTRA and savings made, the total of 685 houses were reconstructed. Household water and electricity connections were provided for each housing unit.

During SUTRA I, 336 housing units were reconstructed in seven partner municipalities. In SUTRA III it is planned to reconstruct the total of 400 housing units in 12 municipalities.

 

Q - In reference to public call to NGOs for project proposals, is it possible to apply with project that has registration of “d.o.o.“ under the NGOs as one of its activities? All possible profit gained through such company would be used for funding the NGOs, founders.

A - All projects submitted by organisations eligible to apply will be considered in line with evaluation criteria, as the tender documents stipulated. Your organisations must fulfill the criteria that clearly says that they cannot be profitable.

 

Q - In reference to public call to NGOs for project proposals, please give us more information on topic “building youth infrastructure" as it can have wide interpretation and can be related to different issues?

A- Anyithing you can relate to this topic can be your project proposal.

Delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina Visited Hungary

Under the auspices of the SUTRA PLOD Programme and Hungarian International Development Assistance Non-profit Company, HUN-IDA, a delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the second one in the last four months, visited Hungary within a study trip on 17 – 26 June this year. The experiences of Hungary, which joined the EU three years ago, are valuable and applicable upon BiH, too, which was witnessed by the members of our delegation. Functioning of authorities at central and local levels, rural development, use of money from the EU pre-accession funds and projects implemented are among the topics introduced to the BiH guests by their kind hosts. At the Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister, where their host was Ms. Erika Németh, Head of Department for National and Ethnic Minorities, the representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina were introduced to the legislation on rights of national and ethnic minorities in Hungary, characteristics of local governments of national and ethnic minorities in Hungary, e-government, “client-gate” services and to the importance of setting up a website (www.magyarorszag.hu).
